Matt Woodard grew up on a dryland farm in the Antelope Creek area, his family among the first to install terraces, use conservation tillage, cross slope farming and chiseling-subsoiling to control run off and create a model conservation farm and habitat improvement. Nationally recognized for his conservation leadership, Matt has assist producers with approvals and find financing for voluntary soil, water and habitat enhancement projects on private land, often serving as a liaison between agricultural landowners, conservation groups and state and federal agencies.
