Jeffery C. Siddoway & Cynthia B. Siddoway
Siddoway Sheep Company/Juniper Mountain Ranch, Terreton
Jeff and Cindy Siddoway of Terreton, Idaho, represent generations of agricultural stewardship in eastern Idaho. Jeff is the fourth generation to operate the Siddoway family sheep ranch, managing between 4,000 and 12,000 breeding ewes across more than 400,000 acres of private, state and federal grazing lands. Cindy brings her own deep agricultural roots and entrepreneurial vision to the operation.
Together, the Siddoways implemented innovative management practices to strengthen their sheep operation, including relocating lambing operations, modernizing facilities, improving turnout methods, and working closely with the BLM and U.S. Forest Service to consolidate grazing allotments.
Cindy and Jeff have pioneered elk ranching in Idaho, helping establish the legislative and regulatory framework for private hunting operations. They founded Juniper Mountain Ranch to diversify their income streams to ensure long-term viability for their multi-generational ranch.
The Siddoways are widely respected leaders and advocates for agriculture. Jeff served 12 years in the Idaho Senate. Cindy made history as the first female President of the American Sheep Industry Association. After his father had heart surgery, Jeff returned home to run Siddoway Sheep Company, just a few credits shy of completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Idaho. Cindy earned a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial studies at Idaho State University. They are the parents of Billie Jean, Jodie and John Clark “JC”.
